Abstract
Purpose : This study was conducted in order to develop a Teaching Evaluation Tool tested for both reliability and validity as the Armed Forces Nursing Academy has not conducted prior research and therefore lacks reliable and valid evaluation standards.

Method : Based on literature review, teaching evaluation tools currently used in other schools and academies, and focus group interviews, we identified 10 component factors, with which 47 questions on the initial tool were created. After scrutinization from experts, the questions were reduced to 31 preliminary questions. 284 currently enrolled cadets were surveyed with a 7 point scale. The 252 surveys that were returned were analyzed using SPSS Win 12.0. Principal component analysis was done through Varimax, and the confidence level was calculated with Cronbach¡¯s ¥á.

Results : The correlation coefficient of all 31 factors between other factors were above 0.30. For confirmation, 8 repetitive calculations using a loading dose above 0.5 drew 30 questions and 10 factors, which showed 79.24% for explanatory variability. Cronbach¡¯s ¥á showed a high confidence level at 0.96.

Conclusion : The final Teaching Evaluation Tool consisted of 30 questions on a 7 point scale based on 10 factors. The tool showed high reliability and validity. We believe that this objective and valid teaching evaluation tool will bring
changes in the structure and method of lectures and ultimately enhance the quality of subject classes.
